About Me
From Faith to the Classroom, and Everything in Between
Hi there! I’m Ashton, a teacher, writer, and lifelong question-asker, shaped by faith and a love for learning. This blog is a space where I think out loud about the things that matter most to me: spirituality, education, stories, and the ups and downs of everyday life. I don’t have all the answers, but I care about asking questions and sharing what I am learning along the way.
I hope this space becomes a place where you can pause, reflect, and explore alongside me, whether you are curious about faith, learning, or simply what it means to live thoughtfully in today’s world.
My Story
So far
Rooted in faith and a love of learning, I navigate classrooms, church callings, and everyday moments that inspire reflection and growth.
I trained as a primary school teacher and now teach alongside children, discovering as much from them as I hope to share. Beyond the classroom, I explore theology and reflect on how faith, history, and justice shape the way we live and care for others.
Curiosity drives me as I explore the questions that shape how we live and learn. I reflect on scripture, teaching challenges, and what it means to love, care, and act with integrity. I am passionate about helping people connect with big, sometimes uncomfortable ideas in ways that feel human, honest, and full of hope. I aim to encourage reflection, growth, and understanding along the way.
This blog is where all of that comes together: faith, learning, questions, and the bits of ordinary life that hold meaning.
I am really glad you are here. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
My Blog’s Mission
At its core, this blog is about asking thoughtful questions, exploring faith and education with honesty, and creating space for reflection. I write about big ideas and everyday moments, sharing the journey with anyone who wants to live with curiosity, purpose, and kindness.
Whether it is digging into teaching, doctrine, history, or just everyday life, I hope what you read here makes you feel something. I want you to feel seen, inspired, challenged, or simply less alone.
I hope this blog becomes a place where curiosity meets care, where learning and reflection go hand in hand, and where even difficult questions can be explored in a thoughtful and compassionate way.
A Journey Through Faith & Learning
Faith and education are both lifelong journeys, and I’m learning more and more every day. Whether I’m in the classroom, planning lessons, or reflecting on my own beliefs, I’ve come to see that asking questions is a sacred act, and that learning can be a form of devotion.
This blog is a space for sharing what I’m discovering, doubting, and holding onto as an educator, a person of faith, and someone trying to make sense of the world. I hope it helps you feel a little more grounded, a little more curious, and a little more hopeful, wherever you are on your own path.
